Adam Smith is Director of Open Science Consulting Limited and Chief Scientific Officer at Nobel Prize Outreach AB. He has recorded interviews with over 300 Nobel laureates and for two decades has led educational programmes that bring laureates to inspire young scientists, visiting more than 200 universities across 40 countries.
He curates the Nobel Prize Dialogue, Nobel Prize Outreach’s global science & society meeting series — hosting more than 20 editions — and presents the long-running Nobel Prize Conversations podcast.
Trained as a scientist, Adam held research fellowships in neuroscience, anatomy, physiology and molecular biology at Oxford, Harvard and Heidelberg. He later moved into science publishing, serving as Chief Editor and then Publishing Director at Elsevier, Nature Publishing Group and Informa.
