Head of the Media and Communication sector, ICESCO
H.E. Osama Heikal serves as the Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). In this capacity, he leads a forward-looking vision to enhance the Organization's media presence and build a communication strategy that matches the significant achievements ICESCO has realized in the past years.
Mr. Heikal brings decades of extensive experience in the fields of media and culture, during which he has held several prominent positions. Alongside his professional career, Mr. Heikal has represented his country at many international conferences and has made a significant impact on the Arab media landscape through several publications, most notably: “150 Days in the History of Egypt” and “Fourth Generation Wars: Media and the Fragmentation of Societies”.
Mr. Heikal has received numerous honors at both the national and international levels. These include: the “2020 Best CEO Award” from the Egyptian Union of Administrative Associations, as well as recognition from the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, along with numerous accolades from prestigious academic and media institutions.
