Ms. Rania Tarazi is the Gender Team Leader at the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States, based in the Amman Regional Hub. With extensive experience in international development, she has worked across socio-economic development, gender equality, and sustainable development, bringing strong expertise in gender analysis and mainstreaming, strategic planning, programme management, research, and capacity development.
Before her current role at UNDP, Rania worked with several international organizations, including Oxfam GB, GIZ, UN Women, as well as a number of national NGOs, contributing to diverse programmes and partnerships advancing gender justice and inclusive development.
She holds a master’s degree in Inequalities and Social Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a master’s in Urban Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam. As Gender Team Leader, she advises on gender-responsive policies and programming and champions the integration of gender equality across UNDP’s work in the Arab region.
