Dr. Imad Bou-Hamad

Associate Professor of Statistics and Data Analytics, American University of Beirut

Dr. Imad Bou-Hamad is the Associate Professor of Statistics and Data Analytics at the American University of Beirut's Olayan School of Business (OSB) (AUB). He has a Master’s degree in Statistics from Université de Montréal, and a PhD in Management Sciences and Quantitative Method from HEC Montréal.

He gained valuable industry experience while working for the National Bank of Canada and UNHCR-Lebanon. Dr. Bou-Hamad is also a TV host and program creator. He focuses mainly on the media, and how it disseminates knowledge to society in non-traditional ways in order to create positive changes in the region. As a result, he created The Researcher Show, which is currently airing on LBCI TV.

Dr. Bou-Hamad’s research interests include the development of new analytics frameworks as well as the application of statistical/analytical methods to novel problems in business, youth, media, and public health.
