Khaled Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, Director of the Transportation Systems Department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, has more than 20-year experience in knowledge, skills and capabilities in administrative and technical fields, such as smart transportation, artificial intelligence, and transportation applications, in addition to his expertise in the field of robotics and drones.
Al Awadhi heads the team supervising the implementation of the self-driving taxi project.
He is also part of the team overseeing the implementation of the Dubai Self-Driving Transport Strategy and Roadmap, which aims to transform 25% of all transportation trips in Dubai into self-driving trips by 2030.
