Director of Investment Data Department, Ministry of Investment in the UAE
In her current role as Director of Investment Data at the Ministry of Investment, Latifa Alshehhi is responsible for shaping data strategies that support the UAE's investment goals. Her efforts focus on building a robust Data and AI ecosystem.
Since 2016, she has spearheaded key projects aimed at transforming the UAE’s digital data and statistics landscape. Previously, she served as the Data Management Manager at Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA).
Latifa's earlier career saw her as Head of Algorithms Development and Analysis at the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center within the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
Latifa is an active member of several international organizations, including the United Nations Committee of Experts in Big Data and Data Science. She also the Head of Analytics and AI in “Women in AI-UAE chapter”, and serves as a member of the Open Data Institute.
