Dubai Police and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation explore avenues to enhance cooperation
Dubai, 22 April, 2026: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), at the Dubai Police Officers’ Club, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between both entities in the fields of knowledge and training.
The meeting was also attended by Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, Brigadier Dr. Hamdan Ahmed Al Ghasia, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, as well as several officers and employees representing both entities.
Welcoming His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb and the accompanying delegation, His Excellency Lieutenant General Al Marri highlighted Dubai Police General Command’s commitment to leveraging all avenues of communication for knowledge exchange as well as sharing best practices in various fields with relevant local entities, further commending the role of this unique partnership with MBRF.
The meeting explored the significance of the ‘Future Skills Academy’, MBRF’s initiative designed for young people and professionals. It aims to bridge the digital divide by empowering individuals from across the Arab world to acquire future-ready skills that will prepare them for changing labor market demands amid ongoing technological developments. Led by this vision, this knowledge project, developed in partnership with UNDP, opens a doorway to global expertise and customized educational experiences.
Furthermore, the meeting facilitated a review of the ‘Dubai International Program for Writing’, which has been designed to enrich the UAE’s literary and intellectual landscape by nurturing an able generation of writers capable of producing exemplary literary and intellectual works.
The meeting further reviewed the results achieved by the ‘Knowledge Summit’ and the ‘Youth Knowledge Forum’, while exploring the role of the ‘Digital Knowledge Hub’, the largest open Arab digital platform that aims to enrich Arab digital content by providing diverse and comprehensive knowledge sources and content that serve various segments of society. It features books, studies, articles, manuscripts, and audio-visual materials that promote Arab knowledge dissemination worldwide. In addition, the meeting also explored the impact of ‘KnowTalks’, which convenes an elite group of thinkers, experts and decision-makers to discuss developmental and knowledge challenges through interactive discussion sessions.
