Dubai 6 January 2025- As part of the outputs of the Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), an initiative undertaken by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), a new collection of scientific books has been published by the program in Arabic. The books were prepared by Macao Group Publishing’s scientific team and were later translated into Arabic under the supervision of Dr. Ghanim Al Samarrai.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) concluded the 12th edition of the ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative, which is one of MBRF’s key knowledge initiatives for promoting the use of the Arabic language in daily life and across digital channels, especially among the youth.

10 September 2024– ‘Knowledge Lounge,’ one of the many innovative initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), organized a series of panel discussions and other knowledge events within and outside the UAE in August to discuss a variety of writings and books, exploring diverse literary and cognitive aspects. These sessions sparked engaging interactions and were widely accepted the attendees.
9 September 2024- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award (MBRKA) Board of Trustees held its first meeting this year, to assess nominations for the award and ensure adherence to the required criteria and conditions. The meeting, which was held at the MBRKA headquarters, further reviewed approved procedures and regulations as well as evaluated the progress made in the award’s 2024 plan.

06 September 2024 - The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Council for Social Responsibility (ACSR) in Egypt to promote community engagement and support young Arab talents. The MoU, signed on the sidelines of the second Youth Knowledge Forum, aims to establish a framework of cooperation and shared goals between the two parties regarding Arab youth, community engagement, and the promotion of joint initiatives.
05 September 2024 - The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), concluded the second edition of the Youth Knowledge Forum (YKF), which was held in Egypt on 2 and 3 September and hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS).
02 September 2024 - The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organized the second edition of Youth Knowledge Forum (YKF), which commenced in the capital city of Egypt, Cairo, on 2, and 3 September. The event was launched in partnership with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports. The event will set the stage to conduct active discussions on topics related to education, technology, the mental health of youth, and various other challenges they confront.
29 August 2024- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will organize the second edition of the Youth Knowledge Forum (YKF) in Egypt on 2 and 3 September 2024. The YKF is being held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt and under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports.
19 August 2024- The Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), one of the most remarkable knowledge projects of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), launched the ‘Novel Writing Workshop’ in Jordan, which will last for four months. Instructed by Dr. Shahla Ujayli, an author and lecturer specializing in Arabic literature, the workshop will take place at the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) in Amman.

26 June 2024 - The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) distributed ‘Smart Reading Library’ bags to schools across the UAE in line with the ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative. The initiative comes in alignment with the MBRF’s continuous efforts to support the educational sector and institutions by ensuring the availability of Arabic language books and children’s stories to encourage a reading and learning culture among various segments of society. Furthermore, it signifies the MBRF’s commitment to motivating both Arab and non-Arab students to learn the Arabic language. The bags were distributed at Hartland International School Dubai and the Dubai English Speaking School & College (DESSC). In the next phase, it will be expanded to more schools.

19 July 2023-The Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), a leading initiative of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), will host the upcoming ‘Workshop on Creating Illustrations for Children’s Stories’ in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Library (MBRL). The MBRL will host the initial phase of the workshop, which spans three days. The workshop’s main objective is to hone participants’ abilities in artistic expression, storytelling, and illustrations in an engaging and innovative approach that promotes reading and creativity within societies.
13July 2023- The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) received a delegation from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) at its headquarters, during which both parties discussed ways to reinforce bilateral cooperation and exchange of experiences. 11 April 2023 – The United States of America (USA) has secured the top position in the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) 2022, published by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) under the ‘Knowledge Project’ initiative. With an average score of 68.4 in the index, the USA secured the top spot on GKI after leading many sector indicators. Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands came in second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, in the GKI.
In the presence of Sheikh Musallam bin Ham Al Ameri, member of the Abu Dhabi Consultative Council, a seminar was held at the Salem bin Ham Cultural Center in Al Ain, titled “Sheikh Zayed .. The workshop was led by trainer Dr. Ghanem Al Samarrai, who emphasized the importance of scientific translation in enriching Arab knowledge content and making knowledge accessible to a wider audience. 06 March 2023 - His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), recently took part in a knowledge session hosted by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). 28 February 2023 – In line with its efforts to develop the Arabic language and enhance its spread, a delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), led by its CEO H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb, visited the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. February 06, 2023- The ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has forged several strategic alliances with various entities including Dubai Airports, Dubai Media Incorporated, Al Ain News, Al Khaleej Newspaper, Ten TV, and Weyyak Platform, to promote and advance the use of Arabic language on various social media platforms among native and non-native speakers. January 26, 2023- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Egypt’s Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) to foster bilateral collaboration in the media sector. November 15, 2022 – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) concluded its participation in the 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book fair, which was organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, from November 2 to 13, 2022, at the Expo Centre Sharjah. On the last two days of the event, the Foundation hosted several sessions as part of the ‘Knowledge Lounge’ sessions, one of which is ‘The Arabic Novel between Narrative Criticism and Reading Spread’ moderated by Rola Al-Banna, featuring writers such as Jalal Barjas and Shahla Al-Ajili. During the session, Jalal Barjas emphasized that the Arab world has been greatly influenced by world literature. Shahla Al-Ajili, on the other hand, stated that because of the prevalence of fiction in the Arab world, creative writers may go unnoticed, noting that some Arab writers choose international institutions since they adhere to specified requirements in promoting writers.
