MBRF delegation visits UNDP headquarters to explore ways to enhance cooperation
26 July 2023- His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), met a team from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) led by Dr. Abdallah Al Dardari, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of the Regional Bureau for Arab States, UNDP, to discuss strategies to improve cooperation.
A meeting was held between both parties at the headquarters of the UNDP in conjunction with the visit of the MBRF delegation to New York, USA, to explore further scope of cooperation. To foster sustainable development and achieve shared visions, strategies have been devised to enhance mechanisms for empowering human competencies, disseminating knowledge, and strengthening the education system and capacity development. Both parties highlighted the significance of establishing partnerships between institutions related to knowledge and development at regional and international levels.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb emphasized that the visit is in line with the MBRF’s commitment to reinforce cooperation with international institutions. In addition, it signifies the shared vision of MBRF and UNDP to boost strategic partnerships, which has led to the launch of several projects and initiatives that made a substantial impact on the global knowledge ecosystem. HE further explained that the MBRF is highly focused on enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise with its partners, like the UNDP, by understanding the need for rigorous efforts to attain sustainable development goals, advance knowledge and educational empowerment practices, develop skills, manage knowledge, and facilitate access to its resources as the foundation knowledge societies.
The strategic partnership between the MBRF and the UNDP has led to exceptional knowledge projects and programs being initiated, such as the ‘Knowledge Project’, which has a global impact.
