Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Holds Workshops to Highlight Contributions by Arab Professionals
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has announced a series of workshops to be organised in collaboration with LinkedIn as part of the Arab Professionals Forum.
The two entities had launched the Forum last year to provide a platform for Arab professionals from all around the world, and foster stronger cooperation among them, as well as among entities looking to recruit professionals and experts in various fields.
The workshops seek to harness the collective expertise of the participating professionals, and benefit from their practical experiences. The sessions explore several topics, including secrets to career success, innovation, and digitisation, crypto currencies. Several universities, as well as local and federal government entities are set to host the workshops.
MBRF’s CEO His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb said: “The workshops seek to benefit from the extensive expertise and knowledge that the participating Arab academics and professionals bring to the table, which spans to various economic, social and technological sectors. In collaboration with LinkedIn, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation provides ample opportunities for members to exchange ideas, integrate their visions, and work together to improve cultural, social and economic conditions across the entire region.”
For his part, Rajai Al Khadem, LinkedIn’s Head of Government Alliances for the Middle East and North Africa Region, said: “By collaborating with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation to launch these workshops, we seek to answer the questions posed by young Arabs, and to provide them with effective career and academic counselling. We are committed to playing our part in empowering the youth to contribute to the progress of their country. With that in mind, we invite them to take part in these workshops and learn from the prominent academic and scientific figures.”
The workshops are scheduled to kick off at the end of March 2018, and continue all through April, bringing together Arab professionals from various disciplines and backgrounds, and from government agencies and universities in the UAE and abroad. The activities will be held in various locations, namely: Sharjah’s Ministry of Health, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai; the Municipality of Ras Al Khaimah; the Municipality of Ajman; and the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Abu Dhabi.
The Arab Professionals Forum is open to applications from professionals who have more than 10 years of experience and a Master’s or Doctorate degree in their field. An applicant must be employed as an executive director (or its equivalent) in a major company; general manager of a major government department; dean of a university faculty; or a senior official (or higher) in a research academy.
