In its tenth edition, the Knowledge Summit marked a decade of global impact as a pioneering platform for disseminating, exchanging, and applying knowledge. It functions as a vibrant, value-driven market that turns ideas into jobs, innovation into national policies, and research into practical plans that directly improve people’s lives.
Jointly organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under the theme “Knowledge Markets: Building Sustainable Societies,” the 2025 Summit delivered a practical roadmap for establishing fair and inclusive knowledge markets. These markets leverage data, legislation, academic institutions, and industrial partners to drive comprehensive, sustainable growth.
This event featured specialized programs across seven interactive halls designed to spark partnerships and accelerate real-world implementation of ideas.
A distinguished lineup of international leaders and experts tackled critical topics: data governance, intellectual property, artificial intelligence as fuel for knowledge economies, and mechanisms to transform scientific research into marketable products and services. 
A highlight was the release of the Global Knowledge Index 2025, which ranked the UAE first among Arab nations. This achievement affirmed the national vision of a sustainable knowledge-based economy, energized local and regional transformation strategies, and strengthened ties between institutional performance and public policy.
Ultimately, the Summit conveyed a powerful message: producing knowledge is insufficient. Societies must create robust systems through legislation, institutions, and funding to convert knowledge into tangible value. This shared mission offers governments, the private sector, and civil society a historic opportunity to shape knowledge-driven economies that enhance human lives and safeguard resources and knowledge for future generations.

Amna Al Mahri: A Visionary in Knowledge-Driven Government Learning
Amna Al Mahri is an inspiring example of knowledge leadership in the field of government learning. She serves as Executive Director of Learning and Enablement at the Abu Dhabi Government Academy, where she leads efforts to advance lifelong learning, empower talent, and build capabilities that shape the future government of Abu Dhabi. Al Mahri participated in the Knowledge Summit 2024 in a session titled “Next-Gen Ready: Gear Up for What’s Ahead.” She emphasized her belief that investing in people is the most effective path to building advanced, competitive societies capable of thriving in a rapidly changing world. Before joining the Academy, she led several pioneering initiatives during her tenure as Director of the Financial Knowledge Center at the Department of Finance, including the Future Financial Leaders Program, Tamkeen Program, and Abu Dhabi Government’s first Hackathon. She also served as a board member of the UAE Accountants and Auditors Association. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
