Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports discusses with MBRF delegation strategies to enhance youth empowerment and knowledge partnership
Cairo, 30 May 2025 - H.E. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, received a delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), led by H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF. The meeting focused on strategies to strengthen bilateral cooperation in youth empowerment and knowledge dissemination, as well as preparations for the fourth edition of the ‘Egyptian Youth Knowledge Forum’, organized by MBRF across key Arab nations.
During the discussions, H.E. Dr. Sobhy highlighted the pivotal role of knowledge in fostering sustainable awareness. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to developing high-quality programs in collaboration with international institutions like MBRF, aiming to expand educational and creative opportunities for Egyptian youth.
Additionally, Dr. Sobhy directed the integration of ‘Ebdaa’ competitions into the activities of the Egyptian Knowledge Youth Office as a platform to discover and nurture young talent, aligning with broader knowledge development goals.
H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb expressed pride in MBRF’s longstanding partnership with Egypt and praised the Ministry’s efforts in enhancing the intellectual and cognitive skills of youth. He emphasized MBRF’s ambition to expand cooperation further, fostering knowledge-based societies equipped to address future challenges.
The meeting was attended by senior Ministry officials, members of the MBRF delegation, and representatives from the Egyptian Knowledge Youth Office.
Following the discussions, H.E. Dr. Sobhy escorted the MBRF delegation on a tour of the New Administrative Capital, including a visit to the Ministry’s new building. The delegation explored its advanced infrastructure and institutional work systems, part of Egypt’s transition to the new capital.
