Dubai, 19 September 2026: The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) unveiled an updated edition of its ‘Book in Minutes’ series at its pavilion during the 35th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2026, marking a successful conclusion of its participation in the event. The series summarizes key ideas and insights from books in an enriching and accessible style, enabling readers to quickly understand their overall themes quickly.
During his address, His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, stated: “By updating the ‘Book in Minutes’ series, we aim to enhance readers’ knowledge of books, themes, and ideas, rather than limiting their lifelong reading journey to a limited number of books. We believe that by offering concise summaries, we can inspire readers to read them in full, thereby enriching their overall reading experience.”
His Excellency highlighted that the new format reflects the initiative’s ongoing evolution since its launch in 2013, in line with the objectives of the ‘Year of Family 2026.’ The series now has five editions instead of the previous three, which were in a smaller format. The new series is on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI), along with topics covering management, leadership, family, and self-development.
‘Book in Minutes’ is a flagship knowledge initiative by MBRF, launched to provide concise Arabic summaries of select international books, enabling readers to explore key themes and choose the books that they like to read in full. The series is available through MBRF’s website and its Digital Knowledge Hub (DKH), making it easier to access and benefit from the series.
The series is a part of MBRF’s broader initiatives aimed at promoting reading and disseminating knowledge. This includes the ‘Knowledge Lounge’ which features interactive gatherings and sessions to discuss books and exchange ideas, as well as ‘My Family is Reading,’ designed to nurture reading habits within the family.
MBRF’s participation agenda at ADIBF included panel discussions, workshops, and interactive activities, in addition to showcasing updates across a range of its knowledge initiatives and programs. This provided readers with a broad perspective on MBRF’s work and diverse projects.
