MBRF Visits Paris to Forge Strategic Partnerships with French Knowledge, Educational Leaders
Dubai, UAE – April 12, 2025 – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has concluded a strategic visit to Paris, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and forging new partnerships with leading educational and knowledge institutions.
The high-level delegation was led by His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, and included meetings with key international stakeholders. At UNESCO headquarters, the delegation met with Dr. Tawfik Jelassi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information at UNESCO, to explore avenues for deepening collaboration in knowledge exchange and innovation. Discussions centered around joint initiatives that support knowledge-driven societies, with particular emphasis on advancing the Dubai Declaration on Open Educational Resources, a global framework promoting open access to education.
As part of the visit, HE Bin Huwaireb also held talks with Mr. Shukri Abdul Amir, Director-General of the Arab World Institute, to identify opportunities for impactful collaboration. The two parties reviewed the institute’s leading programs and explored mechanisms for enhancing knowledge exchange across the Arab region and beyond.
The visit coincided with the Paris International Book Fair 2025, where MBRF engaged with global publishers and industry leaders to discuss future collaborations in the fields of publishing, education, and knowledge development.
