MBRF’s launch of 17 new works in literary criticism and child literature at SIBF 2024
Dubai, UAE, 10 November 2024- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) unveiled a new collection of literary works during its participation in the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2024, which is being held from November 6 to 17, 2024, at Expo Centre Sharjah. These remarkable literary works are the outcome of the workshops recently conducted under the umbrella of the ‘Dubai International Program for Writing,’ notably the ‘Children's Literature Workshop’ and the ‘Books Criticism Workshop’.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, stated: “Sharjah International Book Fair presents a perfect venue for us to showcase a diverse range of literary works as well as contribute to enriching the knowledge landscape. The unveiling of this distinguished collection of literary works at the Fair reflects our commitment to the literature industry and nurturing promising talents in the Arab region. We hope that these works will be a valuable addition to the Arab library, further enhancing the writing and publishing movement, as well as encouraging more authors and intellectuals, particularly the young generation, to unleash their creativity.”
The literary pieces unveiled at the event include five critical works that address narrative, poetry, and novels, covering many topics that entail studies in semiotics, poetic experience, and narrative imagery. Additionally, around 12 children’s stories that highlight good values and sound virtues were also among these, all of which were aimed at strengthening children’s cognitive prowess and producing a generation of future intellectuals and critical thinkers.
