The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has launched its participation in the 48th annual London Book Fair, taking place in the British capital on March 12-14, 2019.

The Foundation will be taking part in the event alongside its publishing arm Qindeel Printing, Publishing and Distribution, to showcase projects and initiatives that seek to empower generations of writers and creators in various disciplines of literature and art. MBRF is also aiming to sign new partnerships with pioneers in the international book industry, from publishing houses and authors to cultural institutions, as well as to communicate directly with the large audiences who come from around the world to take part in the Fair every year.

“The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation is committed to participating in prominent cultural events such as the London Book Fair,” asserted MBRF’s CEO H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb. “The exhibition offers a global platform, bringing together pioneers in the publishing industry to explore opportunities and best practices in the sector, including digital publishing, printing, and copyright management. It is an opportunity to showcase Qindeel’s projects, latest releases, and future projects.”

The Foundation has set a full agenda of events for the Book Fair, including a session presented by H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb around My Story, penned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

MBRF will also be announcing the “Bil Arabi Ambassadors” initiative, where Emirati exchange students in the UK will represent and promote “Bil Arabi” abroad. In addition, a panel discussion will be held for these ambassadors to discuss My Story.

Taking place at the Olympia, London, the London Book Fair is a global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels. Indonesia has been selected to be the guest of honour at this year’s edition of the fair, which is set to bring more than 25,000 experts in publishing, writing, and printing.
