Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation receives Kuwaiti Consul-General
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), received His Excellency Ali Salem Al Thayedi, Consul-General of Kuwait in Dubai, during his visit to MBRF’s headquarters. During the visit, which also included a meeting, the two parties explored potential ways to boost bilateral cooperation and shared their views on several key topics like the possibilities for joint knowledge projects and the realisation of the regional knowledge landscape. In addition, the meeting emphasised Kuwait’s rankings in the Global Knowledge Index 2022, which was released by MBRF in cooperation with UN Development Programme (UNDP).
During the meeting, H.E. Bin Huwaireb highlighted the Foundation’s willingness to contribute towards reinforcing the brotherly relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait, particularly within the knowledge sector which is a major pillar and priority of the national development plans of both the countries. Furthermore, His Excellency underscored the Foundation’s efforts in creating new knowledge partnerships at both regional and global levels. He explained that MBRF is relentlessly working to deliver the countries and institutions with relevant indicators and data that could help them to overcome the challenges in the knowledge sector.
In the recently released Global Knowledge Index 2022, the State of Kuwait secured 47th position among 132 countries. In addition, Kuwait was ranked 44th among 60 countries for high human development, while the country also grabbed ninth position globally for its excellence in providing technical education and vocational training.
