UAEU discusses cooperation opportunities with MBRF
Al Ain, September 2022: His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and the Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), received His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), who visited the UAEU.
During the meeting, Zaki Nusseibeh underlined the importance of cooperation relations between the two entities, which align with a strategic vision aimed at exploring opportunities for joint work in areas that serve the goals of comprehensive development. On top of these goals come scientific research and training in a way that supports building a long-term partnership between the two parties.
HE said, “We look forward to making this visit a fruitful beginning for building bridges of cooperation with the MBRF, in addition to sharing knowledge and training. The objective is to utilize the potential available at the UAEU, including faculty members, students, and researchers. This, in turn, would contribute to producing knowledge and benefit the UAEU and the country’s orientations towards a sustainable future.”
HE Jamal bin Huwaireb said, “We are pleased to move forward in consolidating the cooperation ties and expanding their fields with the UAEU. We appreciate the University’s keenness to establish the foundations of a partnership with the MBRF. We certainly look forward to these prospects of collaboration and experience exchange in order to provide training opportunities for UAEU students. We also aspire to joint work in producing knowledge and research reports and indicators, as well as implementing development programs that positively affect the levels of knowledge, scientific research, and training, enriching their outcomes, in a way that supports the UAE’s ambitious development plans and strategies.”
Moreover, the meeting covered the training opportunities for students, the UAEU’s involvement in preparing reports on the Global Knowledge Index, research cooperation in the knowledge and societal fields, and the exchange of publications. It also discussed the participation of the UAE’s faculty members, students, and researchers in the activities organized by the MBRF. In addition, the meeting focused on organizing joint events on the UAEU campus in Al Ain and benefiting from the experts and scholars hosted by the MBRF in various events by inviting them to the University.
