Earlier this year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the creation of the UAE Gender Balance Council. It has been established as a federal entity, and the council will boost the UAE’s efforts to evolve and enhance women’s role as key partners in building the future of the nation.
His Highness made the announcement at the ‘Toward Gender Balance in Governments’ plenary session, a part of the Government Summit held in February 2015. These measures prove how much the leadership values the participation of women in all sectors and highlights the leadership’s commitment to empower women in every sphere.
