المعرفة تصنع الفرص من الأزمات في «قمة المعرفة 2026»في الوقت الذي يشهد فيه عالمنا المعاصر تغيرات متسارعة وتحديات متشابكة تتجاوز الحدود الجغرافية والاقتصادية، تبرز الحاجة اليوم أكثر من أي وقت مضى إلى تبنّي نماذج جديدة قادرة على فهم المتغيرات واستباقها وتحويلها إلى فرص للتنمية والنمو. ومن هذا المنطلق، تأتي قمة المعرفة 2026 التي تنظمها المؤسسة في دبي يومي 17 و18 نوفمبر المقبل تحت شعار "المعرفة: تخطّي الأزمات في عالم متغيّر"، لتؤكد أن المعرفة أصبحت الركيزة الأساسية لبناء مجتمعات أكثر مرونة واستعداداً للمستقبل. وتجمع القمة في نسختها الحادية عشرة نخبة من صناع القرار والخبراء والباحثين ورواد الفكر والمؤسسات الدولية والشباب من مختلف أنحاء العالم، بهدف تبادل الرؤى والخبرات واستكشاف حلول عملية للتحديات التي تواجه المجتمعات والاقتصادات في عصر التحولات المتسارعة. وتناقش قمة المعرفة جاهزية الدول لمواجهة الأزمات المستقبلية وسُبل ربط المعرفة بصناعة السياسات وتطوير حلول قابلة للتطبيق، إلى جانب مجموعة من القضايا الحيوية التي تشكل ملامح المرحلة المقبلة، من بينها الذكاء الاصطناعي والتحول الرقمي والأمن السيبراني، ومستقبل الاقتصادات المعرفية، وتنمية المهارات والقدرات البشرية، إضافة إلى قضايا الاستدامة والأمن الغذائي والمائي والمرونة المجتمعية. وتكتسب القمة أهمية إضافية من خلال تسليط الضوء على تجربة دبي ودولة الإمارات في توظيف المعرفة والابتكار واستشراف المستقبل، بما يعكس نجاح نموذج تنموي قائم على الرؤية الاستباقية والشراكات الفاعلة والاستثمار في الإنسان. وفي جوهر رسالتها، تؤكد قمة المعرفة 2026 أن بناء المستقبل لا يعتمد فقط على امتلاك الموارد، بل في القدرة على إنتاج المعرفة وتوظيفها بفاعلية. فالمعرفة اليوم لم تعد مجرد أداة للفهم، بل أصبحت قوة محركة للتنمية، وجسراً يعبر بالمجتمعات من التحديات إلى الفرص، ومن الأزمات إلى آفاق أكثر استدامة وازدهاراً. |

Knowledge Summit 2026: Turning Crises into OpportunitiesAs our contemporary world faces rapid changes and interconnected challenges transcending geographical and economic borders, the need emerges today more than ever to adopt new models capable of anticipating variables and transforming them into opportunities for development and growth.
From this standpoint, the Knowledge Summit 2026, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) in Dubai on 17–18 November, under the theme “Knowledge: Navigating Crises in a Changing World,” reaffirms that knowledge has become the fundamental pillar for building resilient, future-ready societies.
In its 11th edition, the summit gathers decision-makers, experts, researchers, thought leaders, international institutions, and youth from around the world. It aims to exchange expertise and explore practical solutions to the challenges facing societies and economies in an era of rapid transformations.
The summit discusses countries’ readiness to confront future crises, ways to link knowledge to policymaking, and the development of applicable solutions. Additionally, it addresses vital issues shaping the future, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, cybersecurity, knowledge economies, human capabilities, sustainability, food and water security, and societal resilience.
The event gains additional importance by highlighting the experience of Dubai and the UAE in deploying knowledge, innovation, and future foresight, reflecting a development model built on a proactive vision, effective partnerships, and investing in people.
At its core, the Knowledge Summit 2026 emphasizes that building the future depends on the capability to produce and effectively deploy knowledge. Today, knowledge is a driving force for development and a bridge carrying societies from challenges to opportunities, and from crises to prosperous horizons. |

مشاريع المؤسسة وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي: مؤشر المعرفة العالمي - الدخل والمعرفة: علاقة تبادلية
في نسخته الأخيرة، يوضح مؤشر المعرفة العالمي 2025 وجود علاقة واضحة بين مستوى الدخل وأداء المعرفة؛ فكلما ارتفع مستوى الدخل في الاقتصاد ارتفع متوسط الأداء المعرفي. وتشير بيانات المؤشر الوحيد من نوعه في العالم، إلى أن الاقتصادات ذات الدخل المرتفع حققت أعلى نتيجة وبلغت 53 نقطة، تلتها اقتصادات الشريحة العليا من الدخل المتوسط بـ 38 نقطة، ثم الشريحة الدنيا من الدخل المتوسط بـ 31 نقطة، بينما سجلت الاقتصادات ذات الدخل المنخفض 22 نقطة فقط. ويعكس هذا التدرج أهمية الاستثمار في التعليم والبحث والابتكار والبنية التحتية المعرفية، حيث تسهم هذه العوامل في تعزيز إنتاج المعرفة وتوظيفها لدعم التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية. وتبرز نتائج المؤشر أن بناء اقتصاد قائم على المعرفة يعد أحد المحركات الرئيسة لتحقيق النمو والقدرة التنافسية على المدى الطويل. |

MBRF-UNDP Projects: Global Knowledge Index: Income and Knowledge: Hand in Hand
In its latest edition, the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) 2025 demonstrates a clear relationship between income levels and knowledge performance; as the income level in an economy rises, the average knowledge performance increases. Data from GKI, the only one of its kind in the world, indicates that high-income economies achieved the highest score, reaching 53 points, followed by upper-middle-income economies at 38 points, and lower-middle-income economies at 31 points, while low-income economies recorded only 22 points. This variance reflects the importance of investing in education, research, innovation, and knowledge infrastructure, as these factors contribute to enhancing knowledge production and deployment to support economic and social development. GKI results highlight that building a knowledge-based economy is a primary driver for achieving long-term growth and competitiveness. |

Pedro Conceição: The Architect of Development Intelligence and Future Visions Pedro Conceição is a prominent global voice in human development and knowledge-based policymaking. During his participation in the Knowledge Summit 2025, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), he joined a panel titled “Global Knowledge Index Launch,” discussing knowledge as a driving force for growth and progress.
He addressed building resilient knowledge systems during uncertainty, pioneering future knowledge measurement, and evaluating its impact on sustainable development and decision-making.
Since 2019, Conceição has directed the Human Development Report Office at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), leading research shaping global development.
He has held several leadership positions within the UNDP, including Director of Strategic Policy and Chief Economist for Africa. His research focuses on development financing, reducing inequality, global public goods, the economics of innovation, and technological change.
He is the lead author of the global Human Development Report series from 2019 to 2025, which reshaped international debate on sustainability. Preparing for the 2026 report, he co-authored an article in Nature magazine calling for an ambitious approach balancing human progress with planetary boundaries.
Conceição combines a multidisciplinary academic background in physics and economics, holding a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, to offer a leadership model fusing scientific depth with a future-oriented developmental vision.
