MBRF distributes 50,000 books across various fields under ‘My Family is Reading’ initiative

Dubai, UAE, 28 March 2025- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is distributing 50,000 books to families and individuals across various regions of the UAE’s emirates and to several government entities in the Emirate of Dubai, as part of its participation in National Reading Month activities. This is part of the ‘My Family is Reading’ initiative, which aims to enhance knowledge levels and inspire everyone in society to develop a reading habit. The books and knowledge publications distributed are distinguished by their significant value and global success, covering fields such as family, children, management, and many other inspiring topics.

A total of 20,000 books will be distributed within ‘My Family Is Reading’ bundles for families. Recently, the MBRF team delivered book bundles to residents of Al Ghail and Al Haniyah in Ras Al Khaimah. The remaining books will be distributed to government entities in the Emirate of Dubai, continuing MBRF’s efforts to foster knowledge dissemination and encourage various segments of society to promote reading and adopt it as a daily habit.

H.E. Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the MBRF, stated: “The primary aim of ‘My Family is Reading’ aligns with the vision of our wise leadership, emphasizing the importance of establishing reading as a daily practice in society to cultivate a cultured and informed generation. It conveys a renewed message that we present to every household, grounded in our belief that family libraries and the knowledge they offer form the basis for building societies. At MBRF, we are dedicated to launching impactful initiatives that connect families nationwide with meaningful content that enhances their passion for reading and pursuit of knowledge.”

The initiative primarily targets Emirati families, youth, and employees across various government departments and their families. It has experienced significant engagement from participants, with over 35 government and private entities involved and more than 50,000 Emirati families benefiting.

Through this initiative, MBRF aims to invest in knowledge and reading as the foundation of modern, sustainable societies. It also seeks to support individuals by providing access to enriching resources that broaden their perspectives and enhance their skills.
