Quantum Computing Quantum computing is a revolutionary field of computing that leverages the principles of quantum mechanics to solve complex problems at incredibly high speeds compared to traditional computing. It is expected to drive transformative changes in areas such as encryption and cybersecurity, chemistry and pharmaceutical manufacturing, AI, IoT, financial services, space and aviation, satellite technology, and many other fields. Quantum computing, a branch of physics, utilizes quantum mechanics to study the unique behavior of microscopic particles such as electrons and photons. Unlike traditional computing, which relies on electrical circuits that exist in only two states (0 and 1), quantum computers use quantum bits, or "qubits," which can exist in a superposition of both 0 and 1 simultaneously. This superposition enables quantum computers to perform parallel processing, greatly enhancing their efficiency in solving complex problems.
